Recap '26 and Green Future Goals

Again planted a lot of trees in the spring of '26. All by hand. Every single tree planted by four of the Green Team’s hard core. More than 3,000 plants within two days! You may call it an act of madness, in a good way. 

The majority of these trees are being donated throught the Recypack Group. To be transparent, in 2026 around 3,275 trees went into the ground. A beautiful mix of maritime pine, silver birch, sessile oak and rowan/European mountain ash. To be precise 1,143 pieces of those were truly donated by customers, suppliers of the Recypack company. To give you an idea that we’re doing more than you might assume. 

Our forest has suffered this summer. Ofcourse. Just as the rest of the nature in Europe suffered over the high tempretures and long drougth. The wild flower we seeded last year, unfortunately didn’t return… We sowed corn but the animals eat it. Which is their perfect right in the end. A lot of the new plants didn’t make it. But we keep holding on, trying, observing, learning and pursuing. 

Took a soil sample and found out the soil acidity is way too high. The result: limited soil life. Revitalizing this is our next focus. A forest with rich soil life is high in biodiversity, therefor resilient and can withstand a great deal. We made a plan.
