Our journey to creating one of the largest solar panel roof in Haarlem!

At Recypack we are constantly thinking of new ways and ideas to achieve our goal of becoming completely CO2 neutral, installing solar panels is one of them. We are therefore very excited to announce that we are planning to create one of the largest solar panel roof in Haarlem!

As a test, we started installing solar panels externally in mid-June. This project seems small, however, it still delivers a nice reduction of 1251 kg CO2 emissions on an annual basis, for which you would normally need 63 adult trees. The ultimate goal is to equip the entire Recypack roof with it. We cannot wait to eventually see the final result!

Solar energy is a technology used to control the energy of the sun and make it useable. Solar panels are useful tools to convert the sunlight into electricity without releasing CO2, which makes them a sustainable alternative to fossil fuels.
